Located between the dike and the Loire, the Courpain site is an old aggregate extraction area. The fauna and flora have reclaimed their rights on this area of 17 hectares. An observatory allows the observation of more than 160 species of birds such as osprey, black stork or dwarf and common terns. There are also more than 23 species of dragonflies and many mammals, amphibians, reptiles and butterflies.
This sensitive natural area is preserved and valued by the Loire House of Loiret with the support of the County Council of Loiret.
