Built for Anne de Bretagne’s death 500th anniversary, this garden gathers some of forgotten species, formerly served on the Dukes’ table or used in medicinal decoctions, between the end of middle ages and the beginning of the Renaissance.
“Les Caves” medieval garden is entertained and maintained thanks to a local association, helped by ones of the greatest french specialists of ancient gardens, such as Yves-Marie Allain, Paris “Jardin des Plantes” former director, and Alain Poulard, member of Vertou French Wines Institute.
All along the high season, conferences (in french) are organized: ask for the program!
