The publication Aï Kitahara, ?uvres 2006-2022, edited by Bernard Chauveau Edition, reveals the breadth of this Japanese artist?s production, which is based in our region. Steeped in her native culture, the artist evokes traditional techniques such as the use of folds, as well as the spirit, light and restraint of Japanese architecture. The exhibition, held specifically in Max Ernst?s sculpture studio, includes over sixty drawings engraved on ceramic tiles and a video illustrating the origins of this project: 366 folding drawings, one drawing per day, all filmed and dated in voice-over.
