The Canal Latéral à la Loire from the Baraban in Briare followed the right bank of the Loire to the Combles lock in Châtillon-sur-Loire. It was used for navigation until the construction of the Briare Bridge-Canal at the end of the 19th century. From this period there remains the stone port, a water station, the lock in the Loire of Baraban as well as bridges and footbridges. It is very pleasant to walk along the towpath to discover the fauna, the flora and the hundred-year-old river heritage.Spoken languages :French
