The Loire à Vélo Train offers cycle tourists easy boarding of their bike during certain times of the day between Orléans, Tours, Nantes and Le Croisic.
The cities served
This train serves the cities of Orléans, Blois, Amboise, Saint Pierre-des-Corps, Tours, Saumur, Angers, Ancenis, Nantes, (+ Saint-Nazaire, La Baule, Pornichet, Le Croisic on weekends).

More space for bicycles during the summer
The Loire à Vélo Train will run from May 1st to September 28th with a minimum of 50 bicycle spaces available on board during the following periods:
- From May 1st to June 6th, 2025, weekends and public holidays only
- From June 7th to September 28th, 2025, daily
Remember to reserve your bike space
Depending on the time of year and your journey, reservations are mandatory and cost €1, in addition to your train ticket. This guarantees you a space available for your bike.

Conditions for boarding the Loire à Vélo Train
- Bike reservations are mandatory from May 1, 2025, until September 28, 2025, for everyone. Book at www.veloabord.fr
- Bring your ticket and bike reservation, if applicable
- Arrive early to allow time to position yourself on the platform
- Remove your bike’s panniers to avoid obstructing passengers and the boarding of other bikes
- Cargo bikes are not accepted; tandems and trailers are accepted in the dedicated room. Trailers must be folded
Schedule
The Loire à Vélo Train operates at certain times of the day:
- 3 round trips per day from Monday to Friday between Orléans and Nantes
- 2 round trips per day on weekends between Orléans and Le Croisic
Please note: the Loire à Vélo Train operates at certain times of the day. Other trains on the Orléans <> Nantes/Le Croisic line accept standard bicycles, the number of which varies depending on the type of rolling stock (See TER Aleop and REMI).
This Loire à Vélo Train service is set up and fully funded by the Centre-Val de Loire and Pays de la Loire regions.
